Let's kick off MADcon presented by CMA's Valley Subaru with an evening designed for connection and inspiration loaded with creative energy. The Opening Night Social brings together artists, designers, musicians, innovators creatives and "creative adjacents" from across the region for a gathering to spark a weekend of Reinvention!
This experience is elevated through exciting collaborations with CreativeMornings SVA who will jump start the connections, followed by a Sustainable Fashion Show and Wearable Art Show. This showcase features an inspiring lineup of local designers, artists, and boutiques pushing the boundaries of style, sustainability, and creative expression. Featured participants include Heard the Store, Juniper Lane, Latitudes Fair Trade Store, Billy Opal, Design @ Nine, Machteld Shrameyer, Elizabeth Wislar, and Hsini Des. Each of them bring a unique perspective to wearable art and contemporary fashion.
After the show The Box, will continue the party with music and dancing into the night for everyone to enjoy.
The Arcadia Project will present the Billy Haines Lounge, a curated space inspired by Staunton native William “Billy” Haines and the spirit of reinvention that defines MADcon. Feel free to relax in the lounge at any point!
Guests can also explore a Local Art Exhibit & Sculpture Garden presented by the Staunton Augusta Art Center, adding another layer of artistic discovery to the evening.
Interactive moments will be throughout the space to express yourself and leave your mark on this exciting new annual Staunton event.
